ARTA was formed 09/05/96 by Richard M. Dumais in an attempt to fill a gap in the industry caused by the lack of communication between the ammonia refrigeration technicians world wide.

“Hands on” industrial ammonia refrigeration operator training at Garden City Community College offers a unique opportunity.  Refrigeration engineers and technicians from many 21st century applications have the opportunity to use state of the art equipment for their training.

Garden City Community College offers a realistic and effective “hands-on” approach to learning the theory and operation of ammonia refrigeration processes.  Our seminars are offered in a 4 ½ day format and earn credit hourswith degree opportunities available.  These courses are the foundation to prepare the operator to be knowledgeable and proficient in the safe, effective and efficient operation of industrial refrigeration systems. Garden City Community College is a nationally accredited institution and a leader in Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration training since 1996. Our seminars are designed to conform to OSHA and EPA regulations and industry best practices.
