Mission Statement

Ecozone is a Netherlands Company established in 1993 as a Network of individual scientists, consultants, companies and institutes. Ecozone has been working in the Netherlands and abroad in the field of climate safe cooling technology.

The general aim of the company is to promote an ecological and economical responsible use of human and natural resources by means of advising on the implementation of projects and programs.

Main fields are training and education, research and development, transfer of climate safe technology, communication.

A limited range of natural refrigerants is produced and distributed to the European and international market.

Partners are institutes and companies, aiming at reduction of hazardous emissions. Among the contractors are companies, environmental authorities, and international agencies like the Dutch Ministries of the Environment, Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation, the German GTZ, Swisscontact, UNIDO, UNDP, UNEP and the Worldbank.

The International Energy Agency is the energy forum for 25 Member countries. IEA Member governments are committed to taking joint measures to meet oil supply emergencies. They have also agreed to share energy information, to co-ordinate their energy policies and to co-operate in the development of rational energy programmes. These provisions are embodied in the Agreement on an International Energy Program, which established the Agency in 1974.

Het Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland (ECN) is een onafhankelijke, marktgerichte organisatie voor onderzoek, ontwikkeling, dienstverlening en kennistransfer op energiegebied. ECN voert opdrachten uit voor het bedrijfsleven, de energiesector en overheid. Het ontwikkelen van technologieën voor een veilige, efficiënte en milieuvriendelijke energievoorziening is de kernactiviteit van ECN. Het werk van ECN is gericht op een zestal prioriteitsgebieden: energie uit zon, uit wind en uit biomassa, schoon gebruik van energie uit fossiele brandstoffen, doelmatig gebruik van energie en materialen, en beleidsstudies. ECN is actief in projecten in binnen- en buitenland. Kennis- en technologieoverdracht is daarbij een belangrijk onderdeel. Bij al haar activiteiten kiest ECN voor duurzame ontwikkeling als uitgangspunt.

The Netherlands Energy Research Foundation ECN is the leading institute for energy research in the Netherlands. Research at ECN is carried out under contract from the government and from national and foreign organisations and industries. ECN's activities are concentrated in six priority areas: solar energy, wind energy, biomass, clean fossil, energy efficiency, and policy studies. ECN's research results are published in a number of report series, each series serving a different public, from contractors to the international scientific world. The ECN scientific and technical staff are dedicated to the ECN mission: contributing to a clean and reliable energy supply for a viable world.

Het Informatiecentrum Duurzame Energie is de algemene, voor iedereen toegankelijke vraagbaak op het gebied van duurzame energie in Nederland. Het IDE bestaat sinds medio 1998. Het IDE is opgezet als informatiecentrum en is een onderdeel van het Projectbureau Duurzame Energie. Het Projectbureau Duurzame Energie is eind 1997, op initiatief van het ministerie van EZ, SEP, Federatie EnergieNed en VNO-NCW, van start gegaan met als doel de opmars van duurzame energie in Nederland te bevorderen.

De taakverdeling is helder: het PDE stimuleert - het IDE informeert .

Aufgaben und Ziele des ZAE Bayern

Die Erschließung und nachhaltige Nutzung von Energiequellen hat große Bedeutung für jetzige und kommende Generationen. Das ZAE Bayern widmet sich daher der angewandten Forschung in den Bereichen rationelle Energienutzung, regenerative Energiequellen und Entwicklung energiesparender, neuer Techniken. Für die Industriepartner stellt das ZAE Bayern Know-how und Forschungsleistung zur Verfügung, um innovative, wirtschaftliche und ökologisch sinnvolle Techniken und Produkte zu realisieren.

Tasks and objectives of the ZAE Bayern

The sustainable use of energy sources is of great importance already now, and will be even more so for future generations. Therefore, ZAE Bayern is committed to applied research in the fields of the rational use of new energy, renewable energies, as well as the development of new means and techniques to save energy. ZAE Bayern provides know-how and research capacity to develop innovative, economically and ecologically favorable products and processes. ZAE Bayern intensively cooperates with industrial partners.
