15 februari 2012 - Scheiden van koudemiddel-mengsels, olie en lucht in koelsystemen, bij prevesco B.V. te Waalwijk
Olie is nodig voor smering, afdichting en koeling van de draaiende delen in een koelinstallatie. Dat betreft dus uitsluitend de compressoren. Op alle andere plekken in de koelkringloop is olie ongewenst, vanwege nadelige invloeden, zoals vermindering van de warmteoverdracht, vervuiling, verstoppingen, chemische reacties met water en non-condensables, zoals stikstof en lucht.
Bij de Synthetische koudemiddelen lost de olie, mits goed gekozen, op in het koudemiddel en sloeg dus bijna niet neer. Bij ammoniak is dat anders. De in NH3 oplosbare oliën waren maar een kort leven beschoren en zijn al weer van het front verdwenen. Er zijn nieuwe oliën die bij hoge persgastemperaturen minder “damp” produceren.
Het blijft dus zaak om direct na de compressor de olie te verwijderen. Al vele jaren zijn daar diverse methoden voor “uitgevonden” en is men daar in feite nog steeds mee bezig.
Een goede oliehuishouding levert enorme besparingen op.
Scheiden van niet condenseerbare gassen, zoals lucht en stikstof is ook noodzakelijk om de koelinstallatie goed te laten werken en ter voorkoming van de chemische reacties.
Een van mijn oude leermeesters zei altijd : In de koeltechniek hebben slechts te maken met 3 problemen : lucht , water en olie in het systeem!

Op de website www.gl2012.nl is te vinden waar de onderwerpen die kunnen worden ingediend over kunnen gaan. In de folder die via de website is te downloaden staat informatie over de call for papers en informatie over de congresdata , deadlines, commissies e.d.
Intussen is wereldwijd de 2e mail Call for papers verzonden.

Summary : This Workshop series is part of the work programme of the IIR Working Party on Refrigerant Charge Reduction. The objective is to bring together scientists, researchers and people from industry working with refrigerant charge reduction in refrigerating systems in order to discuss the latest developments in this field. RCR 2012 is the third edition of this Workshop. The first edition was held at Cemagref, in Antony, France, on April 6-7, 2009. The second edition was held at KTH, in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 16-17, 2010. Both previous editions were highly successful with around 50 participants each.The main themes are:1. Design of low refrigerant charge systems2. Thermodynamics in compact heat exchangers- State of the art of current technologies in terms of refrigerant charge- Heat transfer, flow, pressure losses, void fraction in compact heat exchangers- Distribution and optimization of refrigeration circuitry3.
